Happy New Year Everyone! I hope you are enjoying time with your children.

Please read on, there are a few important announcements with deadlines in this post.

1. Values Survey - it is budget time at the School District office, and the Board of Education is starting with values. This is the easiest, most accessible way to have your voice heard on how funds should be spent on education at the local level. Follow this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SD8_Vision_Statement

Deadline: January 5th! Fill it out now - don't delay!!

2. Cross Country Ski Lessons - there are still spots left! Register you child here: https://zone4.ca/register.asp?id=15949&lan=1&cartlevel=1 **Note: you do not need to be a member of the Nelson Nordic Ski Club (choose "individual" $0 ) Balfour Golf Course is beautiful, and the snow is so much fun.

Deadline: Wednesday Jan. 3rd

3. After School Programs - These start right away: Monday Jan. 8th! Just make sure that you write in your child's agenda that he or she is attending so the school knows. Then send in your payment the first week of school.

4. Spring Break Circus Camp - I have been contacted by an instructor who is interested bringing a circus camp to Redfish during spring break. Please contact me if you are interested in registering your child. The instructor needs some numbers. See below for details. Also, please let me know if the cost is a hinder, but your child would be interested. Redfish PAC may be able to create some bursaries.

Five Day Circus Camp

9am-3am Monday-Thursday, Friday 5:30pm-8:30pm for a show for the parents of the kids Each paticipant will get a camp shirt 6 Skilled Instructors Location---Redfish gym 50-75 kids Fees for full week-- $150per paticipant(covers costs for instructors,shirts, food, rentals, ect) Food will be supplied for kids during the camp 8-12 skills will be taught to the kids and performed for the parents/community Skills include: Juggling(scarves,balls and clubs) Hula hooping Stilt walking Plate spinning Rola bola Poi Flow wand Diablo Flower sticks Feather balancing Volunteers welcome Contact Blayne Bird at blayne0003@gmail.com Or Juggler blayne on facebook
